HOLLYWOOD - The homes of Hollywood stars including Mel Gibson, Pierce Brosnan, Pamela Anderson, Barbra Streisand and Courteney Cox were threatened by a fire that raced through their exclusive California neighborhood last night.
The blaze charred 20 acres of land in Malibu, California, destroying a guest house and causing significant damage to four other houses, before being contained by fire officials just after 8 p.m. local time.
Fire officials haven't released the names of the property owners whose homes were damaged in the blaze, although actress Victoria Principal was among the residents who rushed out to hose down her home after the fire was reported at about 5 p.m.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
