If you were stranded in Russia (Moscow to be exact and in fairness one of the better cities in Russia to be stranded in) and aliens attacked, you would be terrified, right? I know I would be. And yet, Emile Hirsch looks relatively determined in the first official still from The Darkest Hour and not soiling his undergarments (shitting my pants) like I would be doing. But I guess that’s why he’s leading a group of people and I would probably be among the first to perish.
Hey, at least I’ve accepted my fate.
The Darkest Hour comes from producer Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) and follows five young people as they avoid the ramifications of an alien attack in Moscow. Besides Hirsch, the film also stars Olivia Thirlby (Juno). The movie opens December 23rd.
