Foo Fighters drummer hospitalized
HOLLYWOOD - Foo Fighters' drummer Taylor Hawkins is currently being treated in a British hospital for what is thought to be a suspected drug overdose during this past weekend's V2001 festival in Chelmsford, UK.According to a statement released by the band's publicist on Tuesday, Hawkins was the victim of "overindulgence" at the weekend festival.
"Hawkins is reported to be in a stable condition," the statement read.
According to BBC Online, Hawkins was spotted both before and after he went on stage and seemed fine. The Foo Fighters had been partying with fellow rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers but left quite soon after their own set was finished.
The band has canceled the rest of their European tour, including shows in Portugal, Edinburgh, London and Dublin.
