Justin Timberlake may be saving up for his upcoming nuptials, but JC Chasez is saving lives. The former 'N Sync singer proved himself a hero on New Year's Day when he saved the life of a one-year-old baby girl, Shirel, on the beaches of Miami. E! Online reports that a helicopter was flying too close to the ground and accidentally sent an umbrella flying across the sand with the small child caught in its crosshairs. But have no fear -- the heroic singer managed to get a hold of the umbrella before it struck the infant.
As you can guess, the mother of the child, Italian jeweler Netali Nissim, was extremely grateful for Chasez's chivalrous deed, stating, "Shirel is safe because of him. I want to tell him thank you from the bottom of my heart. If it had not been for him, my daughter could have been hurt." Like we needed another reason to love him, but this seriously is the sweetest thing ever and takes me back to my old 'N Sync obsession.
So now that JT and JC continue to make their marks on the world, I'll be interested to see if any more of the old gang will also come back out of the woodwork -- I'm looking at you Joey Fatone!
