A columnist has lost his job after posting an online review of a leaked copy of Hugh Jackman's new movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
An incomplete print of the new action film was stolen last week and posted illegally on Web sites a month ahead of its release.
Film bosses at 20th Century Fox warned that the culprit behind the leak would be prosecuted, after the movie was downloaded an estimated 100,000 times in 24 hours.
And now columnist Roger Friedman has quit his job after reviewing the film for his column on the Fox News Web site -- which shares the same parent company as the movie studio.
In a Web posting on Thursday, Friedman joked about watching other illegal downloads and claimed getting the Jackman movie was "so much easier than going out in the rain."
Bosses at Fox News branded his behavior "reprehensible" and said they "condemned this act categorically."
They added that the company and Friedman "mutually agreed to part ways immediately."
