THR is reporting that the cast of Gangster Squad, Ruben Fleischer's (Zombieland, 30 Minutes or Less) period crime flick, has added a new member: Sullivan Stapleton, star of the original Cinemax series Strike Back. (In related news: Cinemax has original series). Stapleton joins a cast already bursting with big names, including Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, and Emma Stone. According to THR, Stapleton will play "a childhood friend of Gosling’s dapper cop, a man who grew up to become a mob enforcer but later acts as a police informant."
