HOLLYWOOD - Actor Lane Garrison has pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter without gross negligence in connection with the death of a teenager in December 2006.
The former Prison Break star also pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and to providing alcohol to a minor at a hearing in Los Angeles today.
If found guilty, Garrison faces a maximum prison sentence of six years and eight months. He is due back in court on Aug. 2.
Vahagn Sedian was a passenger in Garrison's Land Rover when the actor lost control of the vehicle and crashed after leaving a pre-Christmas party last year. The 17-year-old was later pronounced dead in thehospital.
The police report states Garrison's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit when they tested him for drunk driving at the scene.
Garrison's attorney, Harland Braun, says, "What's unusual in this society is he is admitting full responsibility--that's a breath of fresh air."
Garrison is free on $100,000 bail.
