Hollyscoop.com is reporting that actor Gary Coleman has died at the age of 42.

The news comes two days after the Diff'rent Strokes star suffered an unknown injury at his home in Utah and his condition quickly worsened. He was pronounced dead following a brain hemorrhage.

A statement has been issued by Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, confirming the actor's passing: "Family members and close friends were at his side when life support was terminated. Family members express their appreciation and gratitude for the support and prayers that have been expressed for Gary and for them."

Coleman had been on life support since mid-afternoon Thursday, according to both his manager, John Alcantar, and a hospital representative.

Coleman, who suffered from a congenital kidney disease that required frequent dialysis, was hospitalized in January and Febrary after reportedly suffering seizures.
