HOLLYWOOD - Mel Gibson has blamed the pressure of making his new epic Apocalypto for his return to drinking.
The actor/director hit the headlines this summer when he was stopped by police in California after a night of boozing.
And, speaking on Spanish news show Aqui Y Ahora last night, Gibson revealed his ambitious new movie led him back to the bottle.
When a host asks if the "stress and driving yourself to a limit of knowing what you could do with this film perhaps led you back to drinking," Gibson replies, "Absolutely, I think there's a lot of pressures."
