Green filed a Superior Court divorce petition on Monday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences.

"Drew is a wonderful woman. I love her very much. I wish our marriage could have worked out. I wish her much happiness," Green said in a statement released by his publicist, Ann Gurrola.

Of course, this could just be another joke from the king of pranksters.

Green and Barrymore joked for months about whether they were married before formally exchanging vows July 4. They even hinted they would get married on Saturday Night Live.

Then in April, Green told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show that he and Drew were expecting a child but then later recanted, saying it was a joke.

Barrymore publicist Jennifer Allen has told the press that she is unaware of the divorce filing and has been unable to reach the actress.
