Evan Handler Denies Halting 'Sex and the City' with Hiccups

Evan Handler
HOLLYWOOD - Actor Evan Handler has hit out at reports claiming his "chronic hiccupping" has disrupted filming on the Sex and the City movie--insisting there is little truth to the claims.

The 46-year-old star, who plays actress Kristin Davis' on-screen husband Harry Goldenblatt, was alleged to have admitted his problem has interfered with his latest project.

According to the New York Post's gossip column, PageSix, he said: "It's been going on for the past two years. Sometimes it goes on for two, three days straight. So it was happening a little while filming, yes.

"But I can get it under control. I go to a quiet corner and redirect my breathing and center myself."

But Handler claims the article was a huge exaggeration of the truth.

He tells TV show Extra, "My hiccup thing is a scam! I had some hiccups the other day, but pretty much everything else in that article was invented."
