HOLLYWOOD - TV star Mel Harris has filed for divorce from her husband of five years citing irreconcilable differences, according to media reports.
Harris, who shot to fame playing Hope Murdoch Steadman on hit 1980s show thirtysomething, married investment banker Mike Toomey in 2001.
The couple have no children together, but Harris, who has been married five times, has a son by photographer David Hume Kennerly and a daughter by actor Cotter Smith.
Her divorce petition was filed earlier this month in Los Angeles Superior Court, People magazine reports.
