Heder Drops Out of Comedy Central Series

Jon Heder
Jon Heder has dropped out of a Comedy Central sitcom just two days before the show was to begin production.

Variety reports that the actor, in a brief statement, said he ultimately didn't approve of his character's direction in the show from Will Ferrell's Gary Sanchez Prods.

"Comedy Central, Gary Sanchez Productions and Jon Heder have mutually decided to part ways over creative differences with the character," the statement said.

Heder's departure leaves the series commitment up in the air. Comedy Central had ordered an initial 10 with an option for 90 more. Debmar-Mercury is the distributor.

The character in question is a man chasing big dreams, even after he loses his job and moves back in with his parents.
