HOLLYWOOD - Socialite Paris Hilton has been released from prison after serving 23 days of her 45-day sentence.
The hotel heiress was handed the sentence last month after being found guilty of violating her probation from a drunk-driving arrest last year.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputy Dana Camarillo agreed to the star's early release from Lynwood, California's Century Regional Detention Center for good behavior.
The 26-year-old was met by waiting paparazzi as she left prison at 12:15 a.m. (PT) on Tuesday.
The star will give her first live interview following her release to talk-show host Larry King.
