The socialite's Independence Day weekend (02-03Jul11) was marred on Monday when cops arrested James Rainford outside her Malibu mansion on suspicion of breaching a restraining order which bans him from going within 200 yards (183 metres) of Hilton.

The blonde beauty watched the drama unfold from the balcony of her home and even appeared to be taking pictures on her cell phone as the shirtless man was bundled into the back of a squad car by cops.

Hilton was later able to relax and enjoy the rest of the day's festivities, and when she took to her Twitter.com page on Monday night, she glossed over the afternoon's troubles, writing, "What a beautiful fireworks show and evening. In bed watching funny movies. Loves it..."
