HOLLYWOOD - Katie Holmes fell in love with Tom Cruise when the two met to discuss a film, and the actor shook her hand for the first time.
The former Dawson's Creek star and Cruise married in a fairytale wedding in November and she gave birth to the couple's daughter, Suri, in April.
She tells Harper's Bazaar about the pair's first date, saying it was, "In Los Angeles, my first motorcycle ride...to the beach. It was amazing and fast.
"I was in love from the moment that I shook his hand for the first time."
The 28-year-old, who is stepmother to the Mission: Impossible star's other children, Connor and Isabella, claims she loves her new life.
She adds, "I have a husband and children that I adore. I have a career that I really love. When I sit back and reflect, it's--wow! I am very grateful.
"Tom makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world and has since the day I met him. I love being with him. I love calling him my husband."
