HOLLYWOOD - Screen veteran Dennis Hopper was "shocked" to learn Owen Wilson tried to kill himself last month, because he would never have thought his friend was suicidal.
Hopper admits he had no idea Wilson was at such a low point.
He says, "I know him. He's really a sensible, wonderful young man. I'm really shocked by it.
"(He was) the last person in the world I thought would be suicidal."
Wilson is now back at his Santa Monica, California, home after spending six days at a Los Angeles hospital.
Doctors are satisfied the actor has recovered physically from the trauma and allowed him to return home, under the supervision of his close friends and family.
