Nearly three decades after The Howling came out, the werewolf franchise is getting a reboot -- or rebirth.
The Howling: Reborn is set for a Halloween 2010 release, and it’ll be directed by first-timer Joe Nimziki, a former marketing exec for big studios like Sony and MGM.
No word yet on the plot for Reborn, which follows a Halloween-like six sequels.
Joe Dante directed the 1981 original, about a beleaguered woman (Dee Wallace) and her horrific werewolf encounters.
