HOLLYWOOD - Actress Kate Hudson has gone public with her new romance as her ex-boyfriend recovers from a mysterious weekend mishap in the hospital.
The Almost Famous star was photographed openly kissing funnyman Dax Shepard in a Malibu, California, grocery store on Sunday--the same day her ex, Owen Wilson, was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital emergency room.
Tabloid reports suggest Wilson tried to kill himself and was discovered by a family member.
With that information, Hudson couldn't have picked a worse day to go public with her new romance--a month after the actress initially denied she was dating Shepard.
Hudson is still in the process of divorcing rocker husband Chris Robinson. She split from Wilson in May after a brief romance.
