About seventy percent of the country has March 23 marked off on its calendar to denote the national The Hunger Games theatrical release. But fans of Panem have something to get even more excited about: for the first week of its release, The Hunger Games will also be shown in bigger-than-big-screen IMAX.
Sure, sometimes this sort of thing is a little gimmicky. But think about the movie we're dealing with here: The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games will be released in IMAX theaters from March 23 through March 30. Nothing says "vernal equinox" than a gigantic screen projecting images of Elizabeth Banks dressed like a My Little Pony.
