'Idol' Stars Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry Are Triple Winners at AMAs

HOLLYWOOD - American Idol stars Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry were both triple threats at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Underwood claimed Country Female Artist, Favorite Artist and Country Album honors, while Daughtry's self-named rock act picked up Breakthrough Artist, Adult Contemporary Artist and Best Pop/Rock Album.

Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake was a double winner and it was also a big night for Beyonce, who became the first female to claim the AMAs’ International Artist accolade.

Only five other artists have claimed the rare prize--Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees, Rod Stewart, Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin.
