Jacki Weaver in Talks for 'Silver Lining Playbook' Role

ALTDavid O. Russell's upcoming dramedy The Silver Linings Playbook has slowly but steadily been adding big names to its cast, and it looks like they might be joined by Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver.

Weaver, who was nominated for her performance in last year's Animal Kingdom, is in talks for a role alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and others in Playbook, about a teacher (Cooper) who winds up in a mental hospital. The Aussie actress would play Cooper's mom.

Playbook would be the latest high-profile addition to Weaver's busy schedule: She's set to star in the Jason Segel-Nicholas Stoller rom-com The Five-Year Engagement and the Wentworth Miller-scripted thriller Stoker.
