HOLLYWOOD - Hugh Jackman's wife and business partner Deborra-Lee Furness is "very disappointed" that their risky TV series has been cancelled after just two episodes.
Viva Laughlin, in which Jackman played a ruthless casino boss, failed to impress critics or viewers when it debuted last week--the show was cancelled on Monday following terrible ratings for its second episode on Sunday night.
Australia's Nine Network also pulled the song-and-dance series after just one episode aired.
Furness says, "We are obviously very disappointed, but you have to take risks in this business.
"But, if I'm going to fail, I want to fail spectacularly, and it seems like we did."
The show was the first project for Jackman's Australian production company, Seed, which he owns with Furness.
