Tickets for Michael Jackson's abandoned "This Is It" farewell concerts are on sale on auction websites — for more than double their face value.
Promoters AEG Live promised concertgoers a full refund for the shows after the "Thriller" star died last month, but offered to send out tickets instead — knowing their value would soar as collectors' items.
And within days, some fans have put theirs up for sale on eBay in a bid to cash in on the hysteria surrounding Jackson's death.
A ticket for one of the 50 shows at London's O2 Arena, which were due to start later this month, was originally priced at $105 — and some are now up for sale online as souvenirs for as much as $255.
On Monday, eBay bosses announced a ban on unscrupulous traders selling passes to Jackson's memorial service for $7,500.
