Jacksons Reconnect for Thanksgiving

Jermaine Jackson
Members of Michael Jackson's family met on Tuesday for an early Thanksgiving dinner in a bid to keep fights over money from destroying their bond.

The Jackson brothers and sisters took time out to reconnect as their parents Katherine and Joe's ongoing courtroom battle threatens to divide them, and creditors continue to lay claims to the late King of Pop's estate.

Jermaine Jackson insists it's important for the siblings to remain close during troubled times.

He says, "When there's a lot of fame and fortune and attorneys, accountants and advisers and managers and agents, it gets like this...

"There's strength in numbers, and when there's a family like ours, we pull together. We find strength within each other. And it's really tough because Michael's no longer with us, but he'll always be with us in spirit, but you just continue to move on."

Matriarch Katherine was not present as her Jehovah's Witness faith does not recognize holidays, but Jermaine believes his mom will be the one to triumph in her legal showdown with estranged husband Joe.

He adds, "My mother is the boss and regardless of what the executors want to do at the end of the day, she has the say."

The Jackson parents' current spat began after Joe launched a legal bid for a share of his superstar son's estate, attempting to discredit the two executors John Branca and John McClain. Katerine backed the executors, insisting she has no issues with their handling of the estate.

The superstar singer passed away from a drug overdose on June 25.
