Jennifer Lopez will be involved -- and possibly star -- in an upcoming adaptation of Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?.
J. Lo is currently attached to produce Carmen Sandiego, whose rights have been acquired by Walden Media, but it is viewed as a vehicle for her; she would play the titular character.
Walden reportedly envisions the adaptation -- a longtime learning tool/game for schoolchildren -- as a cross between National Treasure and The Thomas Crown Affair.
The movie summary, according to Deadline, is as follows: "When the ACME agency’s greatest detective Carmen Sandiego becomes the world’s greatest thief, it’s up to her former partner to follow her clues and track her down. Their cat and mouse game leads the partner to confront a greater mystery: is Carmen really a thief or a hero?"
