Jim Carrey is reportedly close to being cast in Burt Wonderstone, a comedy that would reunite him with Steve Carell.
Carell has already signed up for the film; he'll play the title character, a down-on-his-luck Las Vegas magician. Carrey would likely play either his former stage partner or a street magician with a major role in the Don Scardino-directed film.
It would mark the culmination of a slight reversal of fortune if the two reunited: They last appeared together in the 2003 blockbuster Bruce Almighty, with Carrey in the title role and Carell briefly stealing the movie as reporter Evan Baxter -- who, of course, got his own 'Almighty' movie in 2007.
