HOLLYWOOD - Jessica Simpson's father has hired "the most powerful lawyer" in Hollywood to sue magazines that claim the singer is splitting from her husband Nick Lachey. Joe Simpson is sick of the reports - and wants to put an end to them once and for all.
He says, "We've hired the most powerful lawyer in the city to start taking these people on.
"A lawsuit big enough to get their attention. Until you show enough loss, they just laugh at you and pay whatever it is--and keep shooting whatever they want."
And on the rumors, he's getting sick of saying no, "You can only say no, that's not true, so often. Then everybody thinks you're lying.
"No that's not true, no that's not true."
