HOLLYWOOD - Angelina Jolie's lawyer has confessed he banned journalists from asking the actress personal questions at the premiere of her new movie - without her knowledge.
The star was criticized after a contract was sent to members of the press ahead of the premiere of A Mighty Heart this week forbidden them to ask the actress personal questions - despite the event doubling as a freedom of the press benefit.
The Tomb Raider star's lawyer, Robert Offer, has now issued a statement claiming it was his fault and Jolie didn't know about the contract.
She says, "(The contract) was from my representative trying to be protective of me, but it was excessive. I wouldn't have put it out there."
