Last night on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart did one of his most popular segments ever, “Jon Stewart and Anderson Cooper Look At Gaping Holes.” This time, due to a request made by Louie Gohmert, the gaping hole they investigated was in our national security. More specifically: there are babies that immigrants are squeezing out in our hospitals, who will take their American citizenships, leave the country, get trained overseas, only to become crazy terrorists who come back to America to harm the nation that wrapped them in a nice, warm, blanket for the first moments in their entire lives, AND ALSO provided them with a hot, newly out of nursing school nurse to take care of them around the clock.
Oh, and net neutrality? Apparently, while I’m busy hunting down a new Martha Stewart recipe to use each and every day, the people at Google are waging a war on the people and corporations who are busy figuring out ways to forbid Tuesday from being “Thai chicken and noodle night” by preventing me from finding the ingredients and cooking instructions online. Or, at least not as quickly and easily as it would take for Rush Limbaugh’s website to load.
Stephen Colbert took on some different issues, including why on earth Newsweek would rank THE WORLD’S BEST COUNTRY THAT GOD GAVE MAN behind Canada, Luxembourg, AND WORST OF ALL…SWEDEN according to education, quality of life, and health.
And since we all love meat, Stephen talked to a guy who believes that even though we live in a totally kickass country, doesn’t agree that our meat is kickass, too.
