Jonas Brothers Forgive Russell Brand

HOLLYWOOD - Pop trio the Jonas Brothers have forgiven comedian Russell Brand for mocking their sexual morals during Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards.

The British comedian poked fun at the pop sensations for more than half the show over their vow not to have sex before marriage, marked by the purity rings they wear.

Nick Jonas tells BBC's Radio 1: "For us it's cool to see that he recognizes we are gentleman... I think he did a good job. We saw him on (late-night show) Conan O'Brien and thought he was hilarious."

Jonas' amends follow Brand's apology to the group, after he was reprimanded by a string of celebrities including Jordin Sparks and Paris Hilton for hitting out at the stars.

By the end of the awards show the host had sought forgiveness from the crowd: "I've gotta say sorry because I said those things about promise rings; that was bad of me. I didn't mean to take it lightly."
