Justin Timberlake Joins Eastwood's 'Trouble With the Curve'

Pop star-turned-actor Justin Timberlake's movie career continues apace, even as pleas mount for him to return to the recording studio. A few months after landing a role in the Coen Brothers' folk-music flick Inside Llewyn Davis, Timberlake has lined up another prestige project: the Robert Lorenz-directed drama Trouble With the Curve, starring Clint Eastwood (in his first acting gig since 2008's Gran Torino) as an aging, hopefully irascible baseball scout whose vision is failing him. According to Deadline.com, Timberlake will play a rival scout who vies for the affections of Eastwood's character's daughter, played by Amy Adams. We can only guess Clint will be none-to-pleased at the prospect of baby-faced punk like Timberlake making a go at his daughter, and if the filmmakers can somehow work in a variation of "Get off my lawn!" into his dialogue, perhaps substituting "daughter" for "lawn," we'll be thrilled to pieces.
