Kathryn Bigelow is not a woman who wastes time. While waiting on the rest of the cast to join Tom Hanks in the Amazon for Triple Frontier, Bigelow and writing partner Mark Boal are shopping a smaller indie thriller about “black ops and is based on a true story that has appeared in printed form” (fingers crossed it would be a Hurt Locker-esque take on the Chilean Miners story). Producing this “little” film won’t likely effect the “bigger” Frontier as directors often take on smaller films while waiting on the bigger production to start. That’s how they pass time? What, they haven’t heard of Angry Birds?
