Kathryn Hahn Joins Ben Stiller, Kristen Wiig in 'Secret Life of Walter Mitty'

Soon, Kathryn Hahn will be headlining her own comedies — her talents can't be confined to supporting roles forever. But for now, Hahn's ascension to stardom is marked by sidelining popular ensemble comedies, like Step Brothers, Our Idiot Brother and the latest: Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

The Crossing Jordan vet joins a formidable comic cast in the upcoming remake, starring and directed by Stiller. Noteworthy players include Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott (Hahn's costar in both Brother movies), Patton Oswalt (whose role in 2011's Young Adult can never be overpraised) and the legendary Shirley MacLaine. Hahn's celebrity isn't quite up to the caliber of that of her Walter Mitty costars — even the formerly little-known Scott has risen to incredibly notoriety thanks to his breakout role on Parks and Recreation, which has led to movie roles like Friends with Kids — but that doesn't mean her talents won't shine in this breeding ground of humor.

Hahn is signed on to play the sister of Stiller's Walter Mitty character; her chief role in the story is taking charge of their mother's (MacLaine) relocation to a retirement home.
