There's no doubt about it -- the Christmas season is in full swing, which means several celebrity singers are coming out with remakes to the traditional holiday classics. This is a great way for artists to expand on their creativity by attempting to put a different spin on the original songs we know and love. By now you've all heard Justin Bieber's many Christmas-y contributions for the season, including "Mistletoe" and "All I Want For Christmas Is You." But while these pop songs contain a certain level of charm, they can't hold a candle to Kelly Clarkson's recent Christmas release, "I'll Be Home For Christmas."
This particular song makes her vocals really shine and stand out, further showcasing what a strong and powerful singer she is. And although I'm not a big fan of Christmas song remakes (come on, the classics are always the best), I have to give Clarkson credit for not damaging a beautiful song. She didn't change up the melody so much that it's unrecognizable, but it still holds a unique sound that's all her own. So even though nothing can top the originals, this song is definitely worth a listen. You know, just to help you get further immersed in the Christmas spirit.
