Yesterday we learned that Dana Carvey may or may not temporarily take over for Regis Philbin after he exits Live! With Regis and Kelly on Nov. 18; today we found out that Kelly Ripa will remain on the show for at least five additional years.
The latter half of the title talk-show duo -- and soon to be the only host -- re-upped with Disney-ABC Domestic Television through 2017, which will bring her tenure up to a whopping 16 years.
While the syndicated morning talk show will temporarily become Live! With Kelly after Philbin departs, Ripa will hardly be alone: Jerry Seinfeld will kick off an impressive lineup of guest-co-hosts beginning Nov. 21.
