HOLLYWOOD - The Last Samurai star Ken Watanabe has announced that he and Japanese film actress Kaho Minami are now a married couple.
Earlier this year, Watanabe, 46, divorced his former wife, with whom he has two children, clearing the way for his nuptials.
The New York-based newlyweds say, "We've both experienced rough seas, but we've now found tranquility and fortune. We want to keep supporting each other and sharing our time together."
Minami, 41, parted with her first husband in 2000.
The couple plan to hold a wedding reception in Tokyo, Japan, but have not yet decided on a date or venue.
