Kevin Smith Expecting 'Clerks' Backlash
HOLLYWOOD - Filmmaker Kevin Smith is preparing for the backlash to his long-anticipated Clerks sequel--even though he's still working on the script.The Chasing Amy director is adamant that The Passion of the Clerks will leave audiences either sickened or in fits of laughter when it finally hits cinemas.
He says, "I'm writing it now. It's about what happens when that lazy, twenty-something malaise lasts into your thirties. There are gonna be lots of folks expressing disappointment or downright hostility with the idea of this movie. Let 'em vent."
