Kevin Smith's 'Hit Somebody' Split in Two

The script for filmmaker Kevin Smith's upcoming film project, the hockey comedy Hit Somebody, has gotten so big it's going to be filmed as a two-parter. The rotund rabble-rouser revealed as much last night during the Montreal stop of the Red Provinces tour, his traveling road show featuring screenings of his politically-charged horror flick, Red State, followed by Q&As. Hit Somebody, which is inspired by the Warren Zevon song of the same name, tells the tale of Buddy McCracken, a Canadian boy with limited athletic skills who dreams of hockey greatness. Smith has promised the film will be his final directorial project.
