Kim Jong-il's Death Prompts Statement From Sacha Baron Cohen's 'Dictator'

A day after news arrived of Kim Jong-il's death, it appears that more people are mourning the North Korean despot's passing than just the country's desperately malnourished, tragically brainwashed citizens. Admiral General Aladeen, the fictional tyrant of Sacha Baron Cohen's upcoming comedy The Dictator, released a "statement" via Twitter today lamenting the loss of a "good friend" and saluting his efforts to "spread compassion, wisdom and uranium throughout the world." The Dictator co-stars Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, and Jason Mantzoukas, and is directed by Larry Charles. It opens May 1, 2012.
