Happy 2012 everyone! That's right, it's a new year and with that comes the opportunity to hope for a better, brighter future. In other words, it's a chance to start over - even in the celebrity world. And while many of our favorite Hollywood celebs had their fair share of ups and downs in 2011, I think we can all agree that nobody needs a fresh start more desperately than Kim Kardashian. The starlet went from single to engaged to married to divorced -- all in the same year. But even though 2011 wasn't exactly Kardashian's best year love-wise, she's determined to remain optimistic about the upcoming year.
The reality starlet told Us Weekly over the weekend that she's excited about "moving forward and not looking back" and dwelling on her past mistakes. Additionally, she stated, "I think a good lesson I learned about myself is to always follow your heart, and I think I'll never stop doing that. [I'm looking forward to] just having a really good 2012 and soaking in all the lessons learned in 2011. That's it. Simple." So to sum up, she plans on learning lessons from her previous mistakes while simultaneously "not looking back" on the past. I have complete confidence in this strategy and fully believe it's going to work (side note: I may be lying).
And it's great that she wants to follow her heart and everything, but isn't that what led her to marry Kris Humphries in the first place? And look how that turned out. I'm not entirely sure her heart is the one we should be trusting at the moment (or ever). Unless she plans on repeating her whirlwind love cycle of 2011, which is completely possible when dealing with this family.
Yes, one can only imagine what kind of drama the Kardashians have in store for 2012. I mean, Kim apparently has bangs now, so anything is possible, right?
