The Haunting in Connecticut star Kyle Gallner is to reprise Johnny Depp's character in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, according to Internet reports.
Depp played Glen Lantz in the 1984 classic and now Gallner will dabble with villainous ghoul Freddy Krueger 15 years later.
Gallner's character has been renamed Quentin for the update, which will feature The Watchmen star Jackie Earle Haley as Krueger.
As in the original, Krueger - a serial child killer murdered by angry parents - will terrorise teens as they sleep, according to Bloody-Disgusting.com.
