Lady Gaga Performs on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Lady Gaga has become a worldwide phenomena unto herself -- people want to look like her, dress like her, even be her.  But there will always only be one Gaga, and she has five Grammy Awards, 12 million Twitter followers and more than 25 million albums sold to back her up.  So what is the popstar's claim to fame?  In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night Gaga commented, "I think the reason ... is that I'm not very good at listening in life."  I think what the iconic singer is trying to say is that she never listened to others when it came to her goals.  She was true to herself and true to her music by never letting the outside world get to her, which has become the key to her success.  And boy has it worked in her favor.

While Gaga prides herself on being a woman of mystery, she did divulge a few fun facts about herself on the show such as: she's great at cooking "gravy" (i.e., tomato sauce); she'll record music on her tour bus if she feels inspired; and that she's known to cook pasta for her crew while chain-smoking cigarettes (bet those sauces have quite a kick to them).  Later in the interview, Jimmy Kimmel asked the Born This Way singer, “What if one of your children grew up to be not gay; Would you still love that child?”  Gaga, who is a strong, passionate advocate for the Gay community, jokingly responded, "No," as the audience laughed.  Oh Jimmy, such silly things you ask.

During her appearance on the show, the singer performed her singles The Edge of Glory, and You and I.  Check them out below, as well as our exclusive photo gallery that we compiled lived from the taping:
