HOLLYWOOD - Director John Landis (The Blues Brothers, Animal House) has donated a rare poster for the 1933 film King Kong to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. According to The Associated Press, Landis donated the poster--appraised at $100,000 and measuring a whopping 6 feet high and 3 ½ feet wide--on Wednesday. Only four copies of the poster are known to be in existence.
