Lena Headey Might Join 'Judge Dredd' As Villain

Lena HeadeyJudge Dredd has an enemy. We think.

According to Bleeding Cool, Lena Headey -- known for her work on Fox's short-lived Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and 300 -- just grabbed the role of Madeline Madrigal, aka Ma-Ma, in the upcoming comic book-adaptation Dredd. The film already stars Karl Urban as The Law himself and Olivia Thirby as, well, not The Law.

If this news is indeed true, Headey should be able to handle the role of a comic book villain pretty successfully, considering her terrific presence on the big screen in 300. Even though that flick was mostly about dudes with their shirts off who are capable of killing everything, she managed to stand out as a strong and aggressive character among the over-loading testosterone.
