HOLLYWOOD - A sprained ankle looks to have ended Lindsay Lohan's chances of landing aleading role opposite Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 3.
The Mean Girls star, who was approached to fill Scarlett Johansson's shoes by
director J.J. Abrams, confesses she's limping after injuring herself while
training for the part.
Lohan says she has been contacted about the proposed role since sustaining
the injury. She tells Web site IGNFilmForce.com, "I did get a trainer, but I have a
sprained an kle right now, so it's very hard for me to get back and forth to the
gym.
"I don't know what's going on with (Mission: Impossible 3). We'll see."
Lohan is also keen to play down reports she's getting ready to star in a
Barbarella remake, insisting she merely wanted to dress up as Jane Fonda's most
famous character for a photo shoot - but she wouldn't turn down the role if a
remake was offered to her.
She adds, "That would be hard to make. That would make me nervous. It's a
classic... I'd be honored."
