Lisa Lampanelli let it slip on Howard Stern that she will appear in David Chase’s still untitled debut feature as a "mother figure". While The Sopranos creator’s new movie is under wraps, a few details have emerged. It’s set in the 60’s and follows a group of guys who form a rock band. Lampanelli will of course play mother to one of the boys and James Gandolfini is rumored to play the father (though that is probably just Sopranos reunion hopes being filtered into something else). Myself, I don’t find Lampanelli that funny but I respect the hell out of her. Insult comedy is one hell of a tough road but she obviously has the balls to swallow it.
