Lohan Backed by Magazine Bosses over Stolen Jewelry

Lindsay Lohan leaves a studio at 2:30AM in London 06/03/09
Lindsay Lohan has been given a vote of confidence from magazine bosses, who are convinced she's not responsible for gems stolen from their photo shoot.

London police have confirmed that they are investigating the actress in connection with the theft of jewelry worth $45,000 from Lohan's shoot with Elle magazine earlier this month.

The star spoke out on Tuesday through her publicist, denying any involvement and agreeing to cooperate with authorities.

And Elle magazine chiefs are backing her claims, releasing a statement that reads, "I can confirm on behalf of Elle magazine that items of jewelry went missing from an Elle photo shoot two weeks ago and the matter is now being investigated by the police.

"Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."
