HOLLYWOOD - Lindsay Lohan is heading back to rehab just days after completing a lengthy stay at Promises in Malibu, California.
The news comes after the troubled actress was arrested for drunken driving and drug possession on Tuesday morning.
Lohan was pulled over by police after she was reported for driving erratically through the streets of Santa Monica, California, in hot pursuit of a car being driven by the mother of an assistant, who quit on Monday.
Police have confirmed the former assistant's mother was the person who reported Lohan, calling authorities on her cell phone.
Lohan had been celebrating a friend's birthday in Venice, California.
She was charged with a DUI and then police reportedly found cocaine in her pockets when she was booked.
Lohan has cancelled a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where she was due to promote her new movie I Know Who Killed Me, and she'll also be a no-show at the film's premiere later this week, according to reports.
And now, a source close to the Mean Girls star tells In Touch Weekly magazine that Lohan plans to re-enter rehab.
It is not clear yet whether she will return to Promises or exactly when she will check in.
