HOLLYWOOD - Lindsay Lohan has lost out on the chance to be the face of Louis Vuitton, because the French fashion house decided the Mean Girls beauty is "too American" for its global image.
Even the teenage pop star's friendship with Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs failed to swing the deal, and supermodel Naomi Campbell will front the campaign instead.
An insider tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Marc is great mates with Lindsay and she loves his clothes so it was no surprise rumors were flying that he was pushing his French bosses to get her to star in their campaign.
"But they thought Lindsay too American for their global brand."
